Al Dosari Zoo & Game Reserve

The Zoo is located at Al-Shahaniya  which is a 45-minutes to an hour drive from Doha City.
There are detours and road constructions along the way so it's quite difficult to reach the area especially if it's your first time (like us).

Though the location is far from the city and few animals are inside the Zoo, I'm sure any age group will still enjoy this place.

Spoiler: this is the one and only Zebra in the Zoo. :D

The Arabian oryx or white oryx (Oryx leucoryx) is a medium-sized antelope with a distinct shoulder bump, long, straight horns, and a tufted tail. It is a bovid, and the smallest member of the Oryx genus, native to desert and steppe areas of the Arabian Peninsula (wikipedia)

People are also coming in for camping and picnic. There are tents/spaces for rents that is good for overnight camping and a few convenience store.

There is a space for kids that has swings, inflatable slide and so far, more swings.

Al Dosari Zoo still worth visiting after all if you want leave the city to get in touch with the nature and animals.
